Love in the City (Part 3)
SCENARIO 3 - two's company, three's (or four's or five's) a crowd:
Mr Z (old fren of mine) who is married confesses to me that he's seeing 2 other gals. he says he loves both of them, but he loves his wife the most... ok now that's something i reali cant figure out. does he feel no guilt? does he even think he is doing all 3 of them favors for "showering" all of them with his "love n attention"? the guy's not rich or exceptionally goodlooking, mind u. but i must admit he is rather talented (super glib-talker)
bobo has a client who's married and is seeing someone much much (think more than 10 yrs) younger than him.
MY TAKE:
to many,
marriage = a relationship + getting a house
divorce = breaking up + selling a house
the commitment and promises made at the wedding, that union of 2 souls is being taken too lightly. pre-marital sex has made it possible for an unmarried couple to behave, function and interact in exactly the same way as a married couple.
was on MC at home ytd and happened to watch the Oprah Winfrey show (a most talented and admirable woman, might i add). they interviewed women who had affairs outside of marriage, the main cause established by the interviewers was that these women were not getting the love and attention that they hungered for from the husbands. a couple of them even wanted to b caught by the husband, why? just to see the husband get angry/hurt, so that the woman will know that her husband stil has feelings towards her. imagine reaching such a stage to get the attention from her husband, the one who promised to accompany her till death. how sad is that...
no matter how old u r, how long u have been married, people like to b complimented. men like to b told by their wives, how much they r loved n appreciated, women need to know that their husbands love them.
communication is the key - once that door is closed, there can b no communion between a couple anymore. all of it tho, is by choice - to know that we r imperfect and we have chosen to marry someone imperfect, and by opening that door of communication - anything can b resolved, and many tragedies could have been prevented.
